Sourcing

  • Trade-in details added to the Customer page

What’s new:
A dedicated Customer → Sourcing (Trade‑in) space has been introduced in AutoGate, bringing trade‑in information, condition responses and deal details together in a single, structured view.

Why it matters:
This makes it easier for dealers to review and manage trade‑in opportunities without switching between screens, improving visibility and reducing manual back‑and‑forth during the acquisition process.

How to access:
Log in to AutoGate (web) → Customer List → Select a customer → Sourcing (Trade‑in) section

  • carsales Trade‑in Offers – iOS App

What’s new:
The carsales Trade‑in Offer experience is now available in the AutoGate iOS app (from iOS v3.23), aligning with the Web experience. Buyers see a trade‑in price calculated by carsales, which participating dealers agree to honour if the vehicle matches the buyer’s description.

Why it matters:
This gives dealers access to enriched, higher‑intent enquiries on mobile, reduces negotiation back‑and‑forth, and helps move conversations forward faster — even when working on the go.

How to access:
AutoGate iOS app → Customer → Enquiry with Trade‑in Offer → Sourcing (Trade‑in) section.

  • Sourcing List – Updated Date and Notes

What changed:
The Last Updated date in the Sourcing List now refreshes whenever a record is edited — including customer activity notes and status changes (previously, it only updated on status changes). Dealers can also filter and sort opportunities based on this updated date.

Why it matters:
This provides a more accurate view of activity across sourcing opportunities, making it easier to identify stale leads, prioritise follow‑ups, and decide whether to progress or close opportunities.

How to access: AutoGate (web) → Sourcing → List view → Filter or sort by Last Updated.

  • VIN factory options released in iOS (Sourcing)

What changed:
OEM‑authorised, VIN‑specific factory‑fitted options, powered by RedBook, are now available in the AutoGate iOS app as part of the existing iOS rego search flow.

Why it matters:
Seeing accurate factory options upfront helps dealers avoid mispricing and base decisions on actual build specifications. This also brings consistency between Web and iOS, creating a more seamless experience across devices.

How to access:
AutoGate iOS app → Rego search → View Vehicle details → Factory options.

Inventory Management

  • Bulk Edit – Comments and Price

What changed:
Bulk edit for comments and price is back in AutoGate, allowing dealers to update pricing and add comments across multiple inventory items in a single action.

Why it matters:
This saves time on repetitive tasks and makes it easier for dealers to apply updates at scale — particularly when reacting to market changes, repricing stock, or adding context for internal teams.

How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Inventory → Select multiple listings → Bulk actions → Edit price / comments.

  • New Inventory Details page

What changed:
The Inventory Details page has been enhanced with a cleaner layout and improved access to key actions and information. Important details like price, rego and performance indicators are now easier to view, with tools such as Promote and (for LiveMarket subscribers) insights available directly on the page.

Why it matters:
Having everything in one place reduces the need to switch between tabs, helping dealers review performance, make updates and take action faster — all while staying focused on moving inventory.

How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Inventory → Select a listing → Inventory Details page

  • Promote in Inventory Listing and Details Page

What changed:
The Promote side panel and information panels have been integrated directly into the Listing and Vehicle Details pages, allowing dealers to promote vehicles with a single click without leaving their inventory workflow.

Why it matters:
This makes it faster and easier for dealers to promote stock at the right moment, directly from where they’re already managing inventory. A more seamless checkout experience also reduces friction when purchasing promote products.

How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Inventory → Select a listing → Listing or Vehicle Details page → Promote.

Customer Management

  • Inline actions from Customer Details: Sourcing Rego Search

What changed:
Dealers can now search and add a rego inline within the Customer Details page, allowing trade‑ins to be sourced without leaving the customer conversation.

Why it matters:
This keeps dealers in the flow during live conversations, reduces context switching, and helps qualify trade‑ins faster while customer intent is highest — minimising missed or delayed sourcing opportunities.

How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Customer → Open a customer record → Sourcing (Trade‑in) → Rego search.
