What’s new in AutoGate – February Updates
Welcome to our first Release Note! This is a new format to share what’s new in AutoGate every month.
While your showrooms stayed busy, our teams have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring meaningful improvements to AutoGate. From smarter sourcing workflows to more control over inventory and new insights to help you sell faster, these updates reflect a broader transformation underway. As AutoGate continues to evolve, our goal is simple: to be a trusted partner that helps you, our dealer partners, run your business more efficiently, with the tools you need to stay ahead.
New Features and Enhancements
- carsales trade-in Offer Program
The carsales trade‑in Offer Program allows buyers to include a trade‑in vehicle with an estimate when enquiring on eligible new or demo cars. When you receive a carsales trade‑in Offer enquiry in AutoGate, they are presented with this pre‑valued trade‑in price, which they agree to honour as long as the vehicle matches the buyer’s description.
Why it matters:
This program helps dealers receive higher‑intent enquiries, access quality used inventory through trade‑ins, and streamline trade‑in management within AutoGate. It also supports new‑car sales by giving buyers greater price confidence upfront.
How to access:
The carsales trade‑in Offer Program has recently been launched to a small group of dealers and is currently being rolled out in stages. Dealers who are interested in participating can register for the waitlist to be notified when access becomes available.

- Inventory Distribution Rules (Automations)
What changed:
Dealers can now create, edit and manage Inventory Distribution Rules directly in AutoGate, allowing them to control how vehicles are automatically published across carsales, dealer websites and other connected marketplaces.
Why it matters:
This gives dealers more control over inventory publishing without needing to contact Dealer Support, helping them manage compliance, lead volumes and spend more efficiently.
How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Settings → Automations→ Create a rule / manage existing rules
This feature is available in AutoGate (web) for Auto dealers with Inventory Distribution Rules included in their subscription.
To check if you have access, or to set up access, visit the AutoGate Store. Alternatively, you can contact your SaaS specialist to have this set up and to arrange a training session.

- Duplicate Pick‑up Prevention on Rego Search (Sourcing)
What changed:
AutoGate now prevents duplicate vehicle pick‑ups when performing a rego search in Sourcing, by checking for existing sourcing records before creating a new one.
Why it matters:
This helps dealers avoid duplicate sourcing records, keeping acquisition pipelines cleaner and reducing rework caused by duplicated vehicle entries.
How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Sourcing → Rego search
- Estimated Time To Sell (LiveMarket)
What changed:
In the latest enhancement, Estimated Time to Sell has been updated to show three time‑to‑sell buckets — 0–30 days, 31–60 days, and 60+ days — giving dealers a more granular view of how quickly each vehicle is predicted to sell.
Why it matters:
The additional buckets help dealers better differentiate between fast‑moving, at‑risk and slow‑moving stock, making it easier to prioritise actions such as price adjustments or promotions before vehicles begin to age unnecessarily.
How to access:
AutoGate (web) → Inventory / LiveMarket → Select a vehicle → Vehicle details.
Estimated Time to Sell is available in AutoGate (web) for LiveMarket subscribers only.
Dealers who haven’t tried LiveMarket yet can sign up for a 30‑day free trial to explore this feature and other LiveMarket insights.
