Where to find the add inventory section
After signing into your AutoGate account, you can create a new listing for your stock by clicking the 'Inventory' tab within the main menu on the left-hand side of your screen. Then click 'Add' to create the new listing.
Note: if you are unable to see this option, you may not have the necessary user permissions. Please contact an admin at your dealership to have these upgraded. You can find out who you admin is by going to the user management section within AutoGate.
Search for your vehicle
You can search for the vehicle you'd like to add by entering key words or search manually via Make and Model or Rego and VIN. Searching by Rego/VIN will result in a more accurate match.
Please note that a fee of $1.55 is charged per Rego/VIN search.
Once you have narrowed down your search, and have made sure that the item matches your stock, click on Select to progress to the next step.
After selecting the correct vehicle, you will be able to narrow down the specs on the following page.
Once you are done filling out all the required information, click Save at the bottom of the page. Please note, all fields with a red border are mandatory and must be completed. All fields with an orange border are optional, however we recommend completing these to get better results from your ad
Can't find your item?
If you are unable to find the item you have in stock, this may be because it isn't available in our Redbook data. In this instance, below the make and model search fields, you can click on 'I can't find the car'. Complete and submit this form and once verified and approved, the item will be added to our database.
Uploading photos & videos
To upload photos to your listing, you will first need to find the item within your inventory and click on it to bring up a detailed view. From here, click on the Edit button. You will then see a range of options on the left-hand side, click on photos.
On the photos page, you can:
- Upload photos by clicking the blue upload button
- Drag and drop photos by holding them and moving them around
- Rotate photos by clicking on the little light blue icon
Videos
You can upload a video to your listings to help with better advertising and to promote consumer engagement.
The option to upload a video is located next to the photos tab. Clicking this will open a window for you to proceed with the upload.
Once you have uploaded a video, sit tight, as it will be reviewed by our admin team before being added to your live listing. This process can take up to 48 hours. Please note, for best results, we recommend videos are no longer than 60 seconds.
Publishing your ad
To publish the item, you will need to find it within your inventory, click on it, and navigate to the top right-hand corner of the listing. Moving the sliders from red to green will publish it to the live site and/or other publishing destinations you have set up on your account.
Once it has moved to green, the ad will now be on the live site, and consumers will be able to interact with your ad.
