How to create a new ad
After signing into your AutoGate account, you can create a new listing for your truck by clicking the 'Inventory' tab within the main menu on the left-hand side of your screen. Then click 'Add' to begin.
Note: if you are unable to see this option, you may not have the necessary user permissions. Please contact an admin at your dealership to have these upgraded. You can find out who you admin is by going to the user management section within AutoGate.
Search for your item
- You can search for the item you'd like to list by selecting the category and subcategory and then choosing the make, model and year from the drop-down lists provided.
- Once you have narrowed down your search, you can select from the list provided, the item that best reflects your base model.
If none of the options in the list match your item, you can SKIP this step by clicking 'skip' on the banner at the top of the screen (just make sure you have entered a valid year make and model)
- After selecting the correct item, you can fill out the rest of the required details, add your photos and your ad is ready for publishing.
- Once you are done filling out all the required information, click Save at the bottom of the page. You can then click the trucksales Network toggle in the top right corner to publish your ad.
Can't find your item?
- If you are unable to find the item you wish to list, this may be because it isn't available in our Redbook data. In this instance, below the make and model search fields, you can click on 'I can't find the item'. Complete and submit this form and once verified and approved, the item will be added to our database.
Uploading photos
- To upload photos to your listing, you can do so while creating the ad, by clicking on the photos tab after selecting the item you are selling. Alternatively, if you're adding photos later, you will first need to find the item within your inventory and click on it to bring up a detailed view. From here, click on the Edit button. You will then see a range of options on the left-hand side, click on photos.
On the photos page, you can:
- Upload photos by clicking the blue upload button
- Drag and drop photos by holding them and moving them around
- Rotate photos by clicking on the little light blue icon
Videos
- You can upload a video to your listings to help with better advertising and to promote consumer engagement.
- The option to upload a video is located just below the photos tab. Clicking this will open a window for you to proceed with the upload.
- Once you have uploaded a video, sit tight, as it will be reviewed by our admin team before being added to your live listing. This process can take up to 48 hours. Please note, for best results, we recommend videos are no longer than 60 seconds.
Publishing your ad
To publish the item, simply click on the trucksales Network toggle. Moving the sliders from red to green will publish it to the live site and/or other publishing destinations you have set up on your account.
Once it has moved to green, the ad will now be on the live site, and consumers will be able to interact with your ad.
