What is Inventory Distribution?

Inventory Distribution in AutoGate give you control over where your inventory is published across carsales and third-party websites.

Once this service is active, you can manage which vehicles are published to which destination directly from the vehicle details page, keeping everything in one place and fitting neatly into your existing workflow.

You can view the full list of active publishing destinations by heading to Settings > Inventory Distribution from the main menu.

 

How do I sign up?

Your access to Inventory Distribution depends on your dealer type:

  • New car dealers
    Inventory Distribution is included as part of your AutoGate subscription.
  • Used car dealers
    You can add Inventory Distribution via the AutoGate Store or by speaking with your Account Manager.
  • Non-car dealers
    Inventory Distribution is included with your AutoGate subscription. If you’d like to enable this service, contact your Account Manager to learn more.


 

How to set it up

  • When signing up, you’ll be asked to confirm which third-party websites you already have agreements with to advertise your stock.

After setup:

  • To add or remove third-party destinations, email support@carsales.net.au.
    Our Data Team will work directly with the third party to complete the setup.
  • If a third-party contacts carsales requesting access to your inventory, we’ll ask for written approval from a manager at your dealership (email approval is sufficient).

 

How to manage publishing

  • If you manage you inventory in AutoGate, you can control where your stock is published using the Manage Publishing section on the vehicle Details page.
  • Each publishing destination has its own on/off setting. Click the toggle to determine if your stock is published to that site.
  • If you’d like your inventory to automatically publish to one or more destinations, please contact our support team at support@carsales.net.au to help with this set up.
